Or, alternatively, complains about it, but sees how effective it is, and backtracks pdq.

What sensible people do when they want to win: which is why some genius of the right started to employ the vocabulary and analytic tools of academic race studies to cast white folk as victims of "reverse" racism, and the rest of the right, including and especially the extremists, swarmed onboard, knowing a good thing when they saw it in the post-modernist competing narrative world of the 21st century.

I'm thinking it is a matter of ends: that the Republicans were using a tragedy to further the questionable narrative that it's Hillary's fault, while the Democrats are making the worthwhile point that discrimination against Muslims is not a sound policy.

I don't deny that there is an ethical difference in motivation for the different party's utilisation of dead soldier's parents, but when the tactics are the same you sort of know that there is a war on and both sides are trying to capture the same moral high ground. An American political Monte Cassino maybe. I guess the casualties will be be high.

I see the similarities between the two. Contrast the candidates responses.

I haven't heard about HRC's response to this woman.

Care to share?

Or was her response not to say anything? Which is sometimes, the best response.

False equivalency is false.

Trump has been attacking Muslims the entire campaign. His proposed Muslim ban was just straight up xenophobia and nativism. His willingness to entertain the idea of a national Muslim registry harkens back, LITERALLY, to Hitler. Cept w/ Hitler it was Jews. But really, a national registry of members of one faith. FFS.

I don't recall HRC attacking the faith or family of fallen soldiers. There's a BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE and if you can't see it, you've stuck your head in the sand to avoid seeing it.

I mean, really. Come on.
