P.S. People keep complaining that HRC supporters can't give any reasons to vote her other than "Trump sucks." Personally, I find that to be a pretty compelling reason, but there ARE others. Here's one person's take on that:

The author believes that parents should select schools for their children not for reasons of obtaining the best possible education, but out of some responsibility to the state and ideology. This is exactly like what we were getting in USSR where wanting to have (for example) an American car was ideologically suspect. Because you were supposed (and educated and lied and frightened into) to want not what was best for you and yours but what was best for the state and ideologically sound.
Similarly the author believes that schools (and education per se) should be there not for cultivation of minds and intellectual advancement (with those with best capabilities getting the most) but for political and social indoctrination of people and social engineering. Again, in the best traditions of USSR. Or maybe Gleichschaltung.
