I find the thought of Hillary or Bernie going up against either of these chuckleheads to be delicious in one way and worrying in another.
First of all, there seem to be an awful lot of people who are crazy enough to support Trump and/or Carson, a lot more than I would have ever thought possible going in. It seems to me that anyone that crazy isn't going to listen to all the reasonable arguments and actual facts in the world.undecided Republicans).
Then there are people who will probably vote Republican no matter what, even if Bozo the Clown is at the top of the ticket (because Democrats, ewww). When those are added to the crazy chucklehead supporters, how many voters does that leave (besides those who are not already planning to vote Democratic)? Those in-between, undecided voters are the ones the Democratic nominee will need to win over. Is that nominee (whoever it is) going to be able to win over enough of them to get elected? It really gives me a headache if I think about it too much!
If you are in the mood for analysis, Vox has an interesting piece that is pretty depressing for Democrats. We seem to have an advantage for presidential elections, but the Republicans dominate everywhere else, and this supposedly isn't going to change anytime soon.

The right-wing feeds inequality and they then get to benefit politically from inequality. It's really perverse.
