I love, love, love that ¡Jeb! is having difficulty. He's showing the same signs we saw right before Walker and Perry dropped out - narrowing his campaign's focus, trying to conserve cash, etc.
Trump's popularity is flagging. Does Carson have staying power, once the public has spent enough time with him to get to know him? I'm inclined to think not. If ¡Jeb! taps out before they've burnt up in the atmosphere, I'm not sure there will be anyone serious left besides Rubio.
And Rubio - he'll be an interesting case, won't he? He'll be kind of like the conservative Obama, running on charisma and youth, but less so on demonstrated political ability - as opposed to the liberal McCain, a tested politician with a wide range of establishment support.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re right. Rubio is one of Limbaugh’s favorites so can Koch money be too far behind?
Kasich will probably be ignored because he expanded Medicaid here in Ohio. But it always seemed to me that he was running a “get my name out there” campaign and was really eyeing 2020. Of course, the GOP would need to become more moderate to find Kasich’s brand of conservatism attractive. It might be too much to ask/hope for. Although, a Rubio/Kasich ticket might look good to the GOP powers that be since Ohio is the prom queen of election nights.
