This is proving to be a costly run for him, with all that business being taken from him

Dude went out of his way to pick a fight with Carlos Slim, a *rich person*.

Trump likes to pretend he's rich, but he's not. And this is emblematic of what happens when a poor dude, who NOBODY likes, picks a fight with a rich dude.

(I mean, it's bad *in general* because it means Carlos Slim could fuck up anyone. But it's hilarious in this case specifically because Carlos Slim is kicking the shit out of Donald Trump.)

Telecoms magnate Slim is the world's second-richest man, with a net worth of around $71.1 billion, according to Forbes. Trump is at number 405 on the list, worth $4.1 billion.

It is a bit of a mismatch.

However, I doubt Trump was purposely trying to pick a fight, except with liberals and pro-immigration politicians. I imagine he was very surprised when his comments brought on this heavy backlash.

Worth noting, Trump is a fraud who declares bankruptcy every time he might be required to spend money. And his divorces have shown, over and over, that he proclaims himself completely broke when it comes to his debts, regardless of how much he pretends to own when he's trying to claim he's a worthy businessman.

Put another way: Forbes marking him at 4 Billion is a joke, based in no part on Trump's actual holdings or business.

And the real problem, here, is that people have taken Trump seriously to the point where Carlos Slim beating the shit out of him is supposedly newsworthy.
