I dug out the DVD, replayed it and was obviously wrong. Dan doesn’t even do the commentary for that episode. But there is one in the second season for which he publicly apologizes. For this one, the ensemble of Joe Russo, Joel McHale and Dino Stamatopoulos say stuff like, “It has its moments,” “Eh, not our finest hour” and “This is boring.”
