As a "gamer" part of me just doesn't believe that this is actually an "issue"

that part of me is saying "LALALALALALALALALALALLALALA JESUS SHUT UP ALL YOU MOUTHBREATHERS LALALALALALALALA CANT HEAR YOU"

Really. I don't play many video games. Not since I flipped Defender in a prior epoch, anyway. But I have kinda glanced at this issue some and I must say I'm pretty ashamed of the gamer dudebro's. Giving knuckledragging a bad name. They should open a church at this point.

This is why the only games I play are older than 3/4 of the people I know.

Well, that plus the fact that I consider the ones below to have been the pinnacle of human progress anyway (and I have apps for both of 'em).

I wasted so many quarters back in the day on a sit-down version of that old vector Star Wars game. Every Saturday morning after Bowling league (lol) was arcade time.

And Tempest is the best game FOREVER.

We had the stand-up one at our nearby arcade; had to go to the mall for the sit-down console.

I kinda dug the Star Trek one that came out right after Wrath of Khan but I was never especially good at it...not until a comparable TNG game was released for the Game Boy, anyway.
