Banks re-imburse when identity theft happens right? Like, you get a call saying your credit card was used to purchase something where the bank knows you aren't likely to be. You tell them, nope, wasn't me, I've been 500 miles away for last week. The banks lose money, cause they give you what was deducted back to you, but they still had to make the outgoing (fraudulent) payment.

They have no monetary reason to protect your photos.

Plus, Apple will not have banking information with Apple Pay. Credit card information is not part of the exchanges once an account is verified.

So if people are going to make cartoons trying to compare the two situations, it would help if they got the underlying understanding of the tech right.

It's the same as Google Wallet or Steam Wallet. Just relying on Apple for security.

Actually, there are a few differences, such as Apple not know about the dollar amount or substance of a transaction.

Ah, but banks don't actually have to reimburse you. It depends on the terms of your agreement if they will do so. (Mine says in writing the first $50 is on you, though in reality when it has happened they reimbursed it all eventually)

I just want to mention that Apple ALREADY has protections in place for multiple tries of invalid passwords; make too many wrong entries, and your account is locked until you talk to customer support.
