It's mostly about how illegal immigrants end up using taxpayer-funded services without contributing much, if anything, to them.

This is not to say that legitimizing them does not also fix that problem, but then the issue becomes the actual jobs.

Fair enough. I would say there's a lot of underground economy I see here, and I have no idea how much of a drain on social services is provided to undocumented people. I wonder if the Hormel plant near my home town is still staffed by almost entirely Mexicans. I do know there's a lot of industries dependent on cheap labor.
