The attacks on London are terrible of course but I don't get how some think they can say its Britain's 9/11. Compared to 9/11 I believe it is just a bump on the head.

Lest we forget... this type/style/voracity of attack happens to the Iraqi civilians EVERY FUCKING DAY. They don't "ask for it" and they deserve it about as much as anyone in the world (as in NOT AT ALL!!)

I don't want, for even one second, to diminish the atrocity in London... but just because they are a Western, or majority Christian, or majority White population doesn't make this a 'more' horrible attack.

I think the reason it's in the news more than the Iraq bombings is because [A] One of the largest news corporations in the world is based in London i.e. The BBC [B] Terrorist attacks are a lot more commonplace in Iraq than Britain and a huge emotional outburst by the press to every single one would exhaust us all. [C] It hasn't been an exactly exciting newsweek, has it?

To back a statement like that we really need to create a scale. If the IRA bombing Manchester is a hit to the head with a hammer (let's say that's five) and Hiroshima is like a bullet to the brain (ten)

It's sure they have, but imo their goal wasn't to cause anything like a big WW2-like destruction so to make Europe 'scared'- they are in their jihad, therefore they will simply attack any country considered enemy of their country. See Berlusconi's (who's recently very infamous to the Italian people) reaction.
