In my experience, anyone who believes they speak for God ends up doing the most ungodly things, like endorsing torture or making war. Or taking from the poor and ignorant. Or lying to further any of these enterprises.

I don't believe the use of the word "satanic" was out of line. A little strong, perhaps, but certainly "ungodly" is applicable.

Just a word of advice, there are plenty of people (myself included) who don't support the war, who think your ideas are too extreme.

Absolutism is dumb. The war is wrong therefore the US Military/US Government/the US itself is wrong. That doesn't make sense. I'm sure you make mistakes, I'm sure you've even intentionally made mistakes, not knowing that they were mistakes until after the fact. Does that mean you are always wrong? Doubt it. I see through the war rhetoric to the core of communist/socialst rhetoric. And you won't sway me.
But nonetheless, your view has a right to be heard, so kudos on being picked up in South Korea!

He's not slurring the US military. He's slurring the government that endorsed a war for the wrong reasons, some of which were made up. I'm pretty sure the people that declared this war are not dying for anyone's freedoms right now.

Not if you read the cartoon. It's a slur to anyone who has served in the Marine Corps. We join to fight and die if need be, the reasons and where we leave to the american public and elected officials. The portrayal of a marine makes me sick. We have more dignity than that and I'd bet good money the person who drew the cartoon has never served anyone but himself his whole life, especially the american public. I don't have a problem with his message, I have a problem with the way he expresses it.

And no they aren't dying for the war, most are too old and feeble to fight. There are people in that government who have fought honorably and have loved ones in the combat zones now. Newsweek did an article on them a while back if you want specifics. Admittedly it's about a dozen, but enough to keep my faith alive.
