Bush said again that United States was in Iraq because of the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington: "Iraq is the latest battlefield in the war on terror. We will stay until the fight is won."
Recent polls have suggested a majority of the US public disapproves of the way he has handled Iraq, and some surveys report a majority of people say that they do not believe the war was worth fighting.

hmmm, I like this one. Although the poor soldier disturbs me, I like how you drew Bush.

yeah yeah, the poor soldier. We joined up to do this shit. I guess it just takes special breed to enlist in the military knowing you could eventually be giving the ultimate sacrifice for your country to ensure the same freedom and liberty we've enjoyed for the past 229 years.

And contrary to popular belief, our nation's troops are not being "sent to die" as the cartoon suggests. Your obvious pessimistic attitude shines through brightly. I'm sure the troops appreciate your support.

The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.
- General George S. Patton

By "poor soldier" I meant by having a giant fire cracker being lit up his ass...

I guess I'm just a little touchy on this issue.

Yeah, I suppose having a firecracker up one's ass would be a bad thing. Imagine the the process of packing his shitpipe full of TNT. On second thought, don't :)

If you've ever seen "Man on Fire," then you know what a man looks like with his "shitpipe full of TNT." Thankfully they spared us the explosion.

Haven't seen that movie, but I've been meaning to. Thanks for the reminder.

WHOA!! I just picked up the DVD and, my goodness!! Actually, it was plastic explosive, not TNT, but I'm sure the outcome is the same...a real pain in the ass :)

We? What we? I thought you were home on your cozy coutch. Are you now claiming yourself as an Iraq war veteran?

We? What we?

Yeah, we. Me and fellow veterans.

Are you now claiming yourself as an Iraq war veteran?

As a matter of fact, I am. There was this little skirmish a few years ago with Iraq. I believe it was called Desert Storm? You may have heard of it?

Oh, yeah...and I don't recall giving you permission to use my copyrighted work in your comment.

Kerry never threw his bitch-azz medals over any fence. Those were someone else's. Kerry's medals are up on his office wall.

I stand corrected. He threw away somebody else's medals, while throwing away his own ribbons, which he says are interchangeable with medals. Either way you look at it, he trashed his own symbols of heroism and valor that his country bestowed upon him.

He does still have his Purple Hearts...in case you didn't know, John Kerry, has 3 Purple Hearts :)

Cute. Well, to parse words, Desert Storm isn't the Iraq War of 2003. Just as WWI was not WWII, even though it was fought in some of the same arenas.

But good for you for fighting in it.

Well I did get an all expenses paid trip around the world, and I got an extra $200 a month for doing so!!! I even got a neat anthrax shot, and took some experimental pills to lessen the effects of a gas attack. Nightly airraid sirens going off. Oh and the SCUD missles being blown up overhead!! Not everybody can have that kind of fun :)

$20 says that half the people talking about how they dissapprove of the way he's handling the war are disgusted by how much ass he's NOT kicking. He listens to liberal whining far too much and should be curb stomping these fuckers.

We sure have played nice both in Afghanistan and Iraq, taking huge measures to only bomb military targets and combatants. It's not the old days where we just drop a shitload of bombs and watch where they land. The bombs/missles we have nowdays are way more advanced, therefore hitting the intended target. And if midflight, that target changes, we can change the target "on the go". We try to avoid civilian casualties as much as possible. But hey, shit happens.

And Allah forbid we bomb a mosque where terrorists are hiding out. WOuldn't want to offend their religion of peace.

From: [identity profile] coolstring.livejournal.com
you need to do some more research. While we do have more advanced bombs, their accuracy rate is still disturbingly poor compared to what we're led to believe sometimes.

Accuracy is over 80%.

You'll still have mechanical failure and human error no matter what. But 80%+ is quite fine.

I wholeheartedly concur. I have never believed in this "war" in Iraq, and I am glad to see the American people coming to their senses. Iraq had nothing to do with September 11. If we need to be anywhere, we need to be combing Afghanistan...but I guess Osama bin Laden isn't very high on the priority list anymore, is he?

i was against putting troops in Iraq, as well as the perpetual war being faught. But, this is a shitty stupid cartoon. could it be made more obvious? it's childish and sophomoric, why can't you go be a republican so you can make there side look more stupid.
