I think they were a little too young to have much to do with sex, even for future rock stars. Things didn't get booming until they were of the booming age, and that is the 1960s.
The Silent Generation was from 1925 to 1943. That gives them an are range of 17 to 35 at 1960 and 27 to 45 by 1970. They were the majority of the college age students during that time frame and I think were plenty old enough to be having wild sexy times in the 1960s. And if we want to get really pedantic, the first sexual revolution occurred with the Lost Generation in the 1920s with things like petting parties and making out in automobiles.
The Boomers living it up party period really did not get happening until the 1970s and 1980.
I see your point, but I think that you must know that is not the way most people think of it, right? You may be right in a pedantic sense, but most people say the '60s is a boomers' decade, which is the decade of birth control and 'free love' - of drugs, sex, and rock and roll!
