Everything about this image is still true, except you'd have to spray paint "6th" between "World's" and "Highest".

I did!

When I lived in rainy Vancouver, BC, I preferred to wear a fedora instead of carry an umbrella because those things are obnoxious in crowded places and I worked downtown.

I tried wearing a fedora, but everyone just gave me untold mounds of crap for it. Something something hipsters something something.

Damn hipsters.

I thought it was JFK

I like hats!

otoh I hate most of those guys in fedoras (actually it's usually a trilby) or when hipsters wore porkpies.

I like Hamid Karzai's hat but I don't think would be any help keeping rain off.

My mother bought a trilby for my son, and he is so excited about it and wants to wear it EVERYWHERE.

I am so torn between wanting to be happy that he wants to wear dressier clothes (more than just the hat) and being dismayed that he might grow up to become a hipster dudebro. :P

I think for the good of us all, you must do the right thing and hide it from him.

Otoh if he's 6 or so, it would be cute and he'll probably outgrow it and be ashamed of it by the time he's a teen.

That was great, I always bought the Kennedy thing.
My grandfather who never drove always wore a hat, but except for the occasional cowboy hat when square dancing I don't recall my dad ever wearing one.

Oh, I'm sorry, did you need some affirmation that blacks had/have it bad in America? It hasn't been said enough? This photograph by itself wasn't hard-hitting enough? You won't feel like the point's been sufficiently hammered home until Trog says, "Holy fuck, the disparity! The injustice!"?

keerist.
