Funeral selfie!

Maybe if the New York Post gets ahold of Mrs. Schmidt's selfie they can add it to their Worst Selfies Ever list. Currently there are 22 of them, almost half of which are funeral selfies.

I also thought it was cute that the article included the ages of nearly all of the women involved (starting with the "Schmidt and Barack get chummy" section), but none of the men.

Michelle is thinking, 'It's sooo embarrassing when world leaders channel their inner children in public.'

Having to pretend to be sad at a stranger's funeral is a bizarre social convention.

Fortunately you did not have to pretend at Mandela's funeral. Which was more of a celebration.

They had to stop the ceremony because the crowd was singing too loud to continue

I don't get the being sad at funerals convention. Sure, if you're sad, be sad, but I know I'd much rather my friends and family celebrate the good things about having known me and enjoy each others' company than to mope around. I want my funeral to be as cheap as possible so there can be a proper open bar so people can get drunk, laugh, be merry and maybe have a fist fight or two. A proper Irish wake.

When someone lives an amazing life, changes the world and dies in their 90s there's little to be sad about I reckon.

Even though my dad's side of the family moved out here in the 1850s, he was the first to marry outside the church. Weddings and funerals on his side of the family are generally an excuse to get as many people in one places as possible and give them as much alcohol as possible. Of course, you usually have to sit through two hours of church first, but I'm pretty sure that's just to make everyone start drinking as quickly as they can once it's over.

Assuming there were any.

You do all know that this was not at the funeral? Right?

What fucking chord is he trying to play there? It's like a G#add8 or something, it'd sound more horrendous that his policies. I guess it's better than seeing actors playing guitars on tv with all of their fingers touching all of the strings...
