I'm just glad you can admit that it's a ridiculous stereotype and hopefully that brings you one step closer to recognizing that you are no better than anyone else who uses ridiculous stereotypes.
The best part was that my comment began tongue-in-cheek because my soon-to-be ex-husband wears fraying cargo shorts everywhere he goes and it drives me bananas. especially when he criticizes my son for the way he dresses.
Ah, there it is. Look, I didn't set out to attack you. I just see so much hypocrisy in this community that for some reason I feel the need to point out. I don't even really care that people have their hangups about others' looks or behavior(although I really do strive to treat everyone the same no matter if you're rich, white, black, asian, run around in a thong, don't shave your pits, etc). I guess my point here is that I constantly have to remind myself that we don't know other people's circumstances and as irrational as we see their hangups or behavior, their emotions are very real to them and we should probably err on the side of sympathy. So yeah, sorry for getting riled. I do know some really stellar adult white males though. Don't give up on all of them!
