Looks like the Speaker can't corral his own caucus, and get anything done. House will go on Christmas vacation now, with ten days to go before the fiscal cliff. World stock markets have already started to slide.

I think it's time for the GOP to either reinvent itself or be replaced similar to the way the GOP replaced the Whigs.
