I can't believe this poor guy is taking so much grief just because he's quoting pseudo-science straight from The Secret. Wait, he's serious? Let me laugh harder.
The GOP's only problem with what he said is that he said it out loud and in front of someone who was in a position to report it to the world. If he'd said it at a closed door GOP meeting or in front of a loyal crowd of right-wing teabaggers they wouldn't care. This is, after all, the GOP's actual position on the issue. Paul Ryan, the GOP's current VP nominee, sponsored bills with this guy advancing this very agenda. They're just mad at him because he put it out in public and people found out exactly what the Republicans were up to. So now they want to get him out so they can replace him with someone who thinks the exact same things but isn't so public about it.
