Maybe Bashir is Biden, well-meaning, generally nice but can't keep his foot out of his mouth. Worf is hard to place, even most Republicans aren't as crazy militaristic as Worf is. Miles O'Brien is also hard to place. The hyper-competent engineer who works behind the scenes to keep everything running. Who in either party is "hyper-competent"?
