Yeah, this depiction of Rush is a decade or two out of date. But this brings up the question: would a realistic depiction of a naked John Goodman be considered "fat shaming"?
The interesting thing about this image is that although it contains a bunch of elements that society finds distasteful — a fat belly, a small penis, a stupid grin, and a huge cigar — there's no value judgment in the image itself. It's less of a caricature and closer to a literal depiction than most political cartoons. All the judgment, including "fat shaming", is projected onto it by the viewer.
