Everyone can find something that Obama did to bitch about, that doesn't mean he hasn't accomplished a lot (more than Clinton in much less time IMHO). I agree that Summers should never be allowed near anything approaching an important position (in the public or private sector) but his appointment doesn't negate all the good things Obama has done.
Oh absolutely. Its hard to know what Obama has done, because of all the couterfactuals flying around. Has he truly banned torture? Has he gotten money back for TARP and the auto bailouts? Is he reducing the deficit? Is he helping the environment? Is he for women? Is he for gays?
I've had people throw links at me that indicated he did none of these things, but then again we live in a time when many TeaPartiers see all of history through the lens of Islamic Jihad.
