weswilsonI was out of town for the weekend, so I missed a lot of this foolishness till today.
Let me be very clear about the rules.
If you can't discuss the issues without resorting to insults and personal attacks, you are breaking community rules. If you feel the need to start getting personal regarding someone you disagree with, you are breaking community rules.
The animosity I've seen around here lately has been ludicrous. Please tone it down. I try not to confront anything other than direct insults, but I will start cracking down on even vague insults if people continue to demonstrate they aren't willing to be respectful to other community members.
If their ideas are truly as reprehensible as this aggressive language seems to warrant, then demolishing the concepts should be way more satisfying than insulting the person.

A) Any attempt to drag someone's real life into a political debate is walking on very thin ice. It may be forgivable if that real life information is commonly known via standard interactions on Livejournal. It will definitely not be tolerated if you opt to use interactions in this community as a potential threat to cause damage to someone in real life.
