american-geist.livejournal.comCongress just voted to let the pentagon continue to sponsor their NASCAR army car for $7 Million dollars. There was a vote to defund it but Republicans blocked the measure.
So basically, providing birth control to the poor so they don't get pregnant/STDs is fiscal irresponsibility. So is providing funding to NPR and PBS, programs which benefit thousands of people. Yet, sponsoring a worthless NASCAR propaganda vehicle is good fiscal policy. ISN'T IT HILARIOUS???
