Fun story... I was wearing this shirt (http://www.flickr.com/photos/26947975@N00/17152083) on the subway once. Some tourist-y lady stops me, and asks "Who's Voldemort?". I respond, "Oh, he's the evil wizard in the Harry Potter novels." She then stares at the shirt again, then back at me, and responds "I don't get it." I just shrug my shoulders, and go back to my magazine.
Assuming the biblical paradigm, everybody is decended from Adam. Adam only two sons, so everybody is descended from either Cain, or Able.
You might think this means that it is 50/50, but you would be wrong because of the intermarriage. Assuming equal distribution of marriages, and equal number of children, we get a model like this.
Generation 0: Adam (and Eve) begotten of the soil.
He's clever, though. Right now he's setting up a Beast Rabban/Feyd Rautha kind of situation. Put the monster in charge first, and then when something "happens" to them, take over and seem like a beloved hero in comparison!
