In fact, in Michael Moore's new movie (overall not so good, but better as always when he steps away, and real people tells their stories), he in fact has an entire lengthy segment which uses pilots as an example of how the economy has left the average Joe behind in this past generation or so, with decreased wages, etc. The segment actually notes an increase in accidents (etc) with flights since pilot wages started going down, as many pilots have to work a second job now and are thus exhausted.
I'd love for someone to, ya know, actually interview these specific pilots and ask them what their story is.
Or, you know, we can be lazy and paint them as goof-offs.
