Much of the opposition across the world is tied directly to the atrocities committed by Israel. Obviously the slim minority of opinion which is based on antisemitism will never change but the far greater number of people, myself included, who are opposed to Israeli actions on principled grounds would support them if they decided to stop killing children and start pursuing constructive measures in Palestine. Even many Palestinians would probably be more than happy to be out from under the terrorists and Hamas but they're not going to support a government that kills their children and humiliates their men.
Israel would be extremely sympathetic if not for its actions. The horrors experienced by the Jews are hard to imagine. Unfortunately, they seem to have stared too long into Nietzsche's abyss and that same abyss has started into them.
