I didn't know he was doing that. I haven't really been paying tons of attention to this community. I've banned people for stalking before though, when my life revolved around lj a bit more.

He did show up in New_wave_witch's blog. I took a look after she mentioned it. So I'm supposing it was right to ban him. Although I have to disagree with banning him on the grounds of that post alone. Other people have said some vile and violent shit in the past, but since it wasn't lather no one really cared. This won't really stop him from stalking because he isn't banned from everyone's journal and unless you IP banned him he's just going to set up a new account and come in spouting his same bullshit. And even then, he could use a proxy and bypass it all together.

I'm not questioning your authority, but he was amusing, and he was also mostly harmless as far as LJ people go. He never made direct threats to anyone, he just was a big douche and racist.

I'm sure your ban was for the best, but I can never agree with banning someone on the grounds of you don't like what they say. But you are a mod and I am not, so it's your decision. I'm just going to miss my punching bag.
