I think you mean economics. The Peace Prize was instituted by Alfred Nobel in 1895. The Prize for Economic Sciences was founded in 1968 and endowed by Sweden's central bank. Old Alf stipulated that the Peace Prize should be awarded by a committee appointed by the Nowegian Parliament. Now, what's all this about it not being a Nobel Prize? You evidently have other information to me.
