Ralph Peters is a piece of shit. Anyone who has read his columns in the NY Post over the years understands this. I remember in 2006 when he called Democrats the "Osama bin Laden Fan Club" (true story!) for complaining about warrantless wiretapping.

Actually, it's more like that they know, but they don't want to know, or they think that only "bad people" would suffer these consequences, oblivious to what it says about our society as a whole that we'd do this.

I don't know what this says about me, maybe it's that I don't have a proper grasp of the chronology. But reading this cartoon actually for a moment made me think that the US was in the right in a way. I mean except for the lawyers bit, it reminds you that they do kidnap aid workers and the odd westerner within their borders and have beheaded a few of them (rare, admittedly)...

It's a horrible situation...
