A little constructive criticism: let the politicians have their quotes and soundbites. It makes them look like fools without your energetic anchorpixie monologing all over it.

Ugh, terrible. The "jokes" are half-hearted at best.

whut?

Isn't this comm all about duelling biases? I think your cartoons would have a lot less edge if they lacked bias. I'm gonna want to see an inflation-adjusted, per capita graph that evokes boffo laffs next outta anyone claiming to lack bias here.

it's funny because the laugh-tracked lady in front of a green screen didn't address anything at all yet somehow spoke for two and a half minutes.

Just like any of Obama's or Biden's speeches.

Date: 2009-07-22 12:45 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mylaptopisevil.livejournal.com
Except those speeches are directly addressing exactly whatever the speech itself is about by the property of being a speech.

So when the President gives a speech on heath care, he isn't addressing health care?

No that you can listen to Obama or Biden talk for 2 minutes and they haven't said a thing.

If you want you can replace Obama and Biden with any politician.

We've been listening to you talk for two years and you've got a comparable record.

To many FAR clauses, and IP language that's poorly written.

Date: 2009-07-22 04:34 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mylaptopisevil.livejournal.com
So your concern isn't the concept of what is proposed, but the fact that the clauses and language isn't up to the quality you would want?

From: [identity profile] jlc20thmaine.livejournal.com
I thought you were talking about things in general. But yes, the quality of language used in the legislation and the legislation itself have fallen to a point lower than the level of civil discourse.

Which is why we need Palin, as she embodies your ideals of the greatness of language.
