Religion may be political, but lolcats are not. The religion connection is tenuous at best as your cat macros derive their humor from just plain silliness rather than addressing a serious religious issue from humorous angle.

I would suggest that if you don't want people to criticize want you post, you should be more selective in what you post. Images pulled from 4chan and the like are very rarely insightful and will probably draw criticism from this community.
