You guys have an amazing capacity to rewrite history...but I'm glad to see that the "CRA DID IT!!!" argument has morphed into something more subtle after it became obvious that the really bad stuff in the lending industry had fuck all to do with the CRA.

And truly amazing how with 2 years of a thin Congressional majority, the Democrats are responsible for, well, EVERYTHING that's fallen to pieces as if we haven't had 8 years of a Republican White House and 6 years of mainly Republican majorities in Congress. I might (cough) be biased, but I really think a lot more of the things posted by surreality_hammer and his bunch of hangers-on have far less to do with, well, reality and are generally far less funny. If we say "most of problems the US is having right now are the direct result of the Bush presidency," that's a lot more accurate and realistic than things like this, which blames a Congress with a baby-hair-thin majority that's only been there for two years, for the collapse of the banks, the Dow, the budget deficit, the demise of our educational system, the downfall of the election process, and, the kicker, nationalization of industry, or y'know, massive government payoffs to CEOs who screwed up and trashed everything. I'm sorry but this line of thinking, which is far more often than not the way right-tending cartoons go, is simply insane. I'm generally among those who will in fact point out when a left-biased cartoon or article or what have you isn't being fair, but I don't think I've *ever* seen a right-biased cartoon in this group that wasn't just off-the-deep-end Froot Loop NUTS.
