OK, Steve Bell's metaphors are officially lame. What the hell is this supposed to mean? What's the shredder supposed to represent? The electorate? The press? Our laws? And, if so, how's it shredding Bush? Why is the shredded bush coming out as the stripes of the flag? It almost makes him seem like he's a martyr. That can't be.
Is it supposed to represent that we're finally getting rid of this lame-ass president? If so, picture should not look so "patriotic" with the blue field and the stars. And the shredding coming out should be confetti falling down on a celebration of Americans.
The constitution requires that we get rid of lame-ass presidents? Cool! Why didn't someone point this out sooner?
All kidding aside, though, so in that case the shredder would be the constitution and the picture of Bush is simply the expired document that requires shredding in the periodic document purge according to the approved document management policy. Verdict: Lame cartoon.
Guacamolame (Spanish for "lame sauce.")
