LBJ and Obama are the most "liberal" compared to the other presidents there (and with members of their own party) Remember too: Carter got into a lot of hot water with the FDR coalition Liberals in the Democratic party, that's why Ted Kennedy nearly won the nomination in 1980, (he ran such a shitty campaign, and Carter's team's Hamilton Jordan was one hell of a campaign strategist).
