Isn't most bottled water more or less identical to tap water?

It probably depends on the country/state.
Here in Belgium there is pretty much little or no difference between tap water and most of the less expensive bottled waters. But there's a few countries in Europe, where not drinking from the tap is an advice best followed as much as possible.

I'm guessing the same is the case in the US, depending on where you live.

Thanks to liberals, America has safe water everywhere, it just tends to taste bad in some areas due to mineral content. Where I live, both the air and water quality are fantastic, so I'm lucky and able to drink tap water without concern.

The cost of even cheap brands of bottled water exceeds gasoline prices so it's a ridiculous scam.

Depends on the brand. Some of it is filtered tap, others springs, others still use that reverse osmosis technique.

Tap water tastes less like plastic.
