Although I agree with you on the philosophical merits of Limbaugh's show, I think one has to be impressed that he rose up from the margins of the media. I mean, we all thought AM radio was dead, and here rose this giant from it. It's like the people found him, rather than he being someone put up by Big Business on the biggest platform that they could buy. I don't really get it, but there is a certain populist appeal to his message - the white society, minimal government traditionalism, or whatever.
