I don't have to cheat to play with the numbers. There are a number of different options and programs available to shelter income. Now might be a good time to start a 401k program or other retirement plan under the S-corp instead of just personally. One car is leased by the company so far but not ours. We've talked about it but not yet. My car won't ever be because I seldom ever have to drive for the business. However, my wife spends half her week going to client locations.
We don't cheat. With CPA certifications on the line, it's not worth the risk. But, also being a husband and father, I would be remiss if I didn't try to get the maximum advantage from the programs I will end up sponsoring.
yeah. we definitely should let people starve on the streets, and it is criminal to provide security for the elderly. how dare we as a country care about anything but the contents of your fucking pocket?
or maybe you could just give enough extra to a worthy charity to put you under 250K, but heaven forbid you should actually help another human being out.
Typical over-reaction bullshit from a moron who can't understand that welfare and social security are government's way of telling you that you are too stupid to take care of yoruself. Well, in your case the government may be correct.
I know. It's so terrible how investors get returns for taking a risk or that companies increase payroll through expanding. Such a terrible way to use profit.
i don't benefit from either one now, although i might get some social security when i retire. it is a pension plan that i paid into. got a problem with that? i am happy with my taxes going to help people who need it, even if some people take advantage of the system. i find it disgusting that you are willing to let actual needy people suffer and use a few freeloaders to justify lowering your taxes out of pure, unadulterated greed. you are standing against everything i value in America. we are better than you.
Read his proposed budget. Educate yourself. It's one of the favorite parts of the budget to the left (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/03/07/MNEE16AJT5.DTL).
You see, if you kill the private charities, everyone will have to rely on the government. Simple control.
That ain't the part I'm complaining about. It's when 100,000 people get laid off and the executive team all get 100 million dollar bonuses for doing such a great job keeping the profit margin high by laying off 100,000 people. Which happens far, far too often.
I don't know if I've seen you say it, but I think that anyone who calls Obama a socialist is being insincere.
But, I think you miss an opportunity to influence others when you say "Your ignorance is not my problem." In fact, it's untrue. I assume "i" votes. And perhaps if you pointed out specifically where Obama proposes to eliminate charitable deductions for those earning more than $X, then perhaps you'd help change minds.
FYI, I'm an Obama fan who has been disappointed in SOME of the stuff he's proposed. I'd love for him to move closer to the center. Although I still think we are much, much, much, MUCH better hands than we were 8 weeks ago.
I never said I would let needy people suffer. And if I did, please show it.
I believe that bigger government doesn't solve problems. It's been proven with 70 years of welfare and 40 years of the war on poverty. It's disgusting that you are willing to keep people enslaved to the government in order to survive instead of allowing them to be free. You are standing against everything our founding fathers believed in.

Date: 2009-03-09 07:27 pm (UTC)a return to the tax rates of Clinton, and the deduction levels of your hero Reagan is not the socialism you are so afraid of.
