I hope no one was expecting world peace in our lifetime.

You've never spoken to a religious person who believe that the end-times are near, have you?

It startles me how many of them there are, oh-so-sure, that any-day-now, God's kingdom will reign and every last little problem on this pale blue dot will vanish.

While I respect Jehova Witnesses for being generally decent people, their complete lack of political involvement due to the imminence of the rapture baffles me.

The notion that the world is going to end soon seems pretty popular to me, for religious and non-religious alike. With climate change and a possible President Trump, it can seem like the sky is falling. Though, I guess the religious see it as a good thing - at least for them.

It was this scene that I think I will forever associate with that, oh, so clever, Shakespearean sick-burn:

But Brutus is an Honorable man:

It's really wonderful, I think you will like it a lot.

The actress Allison Janney in that clip, was at the White House last Friday giving a press conference.

Do you almost never watch TV? Because this is liberal heaven - a classic to watch repeatedly over the years.

It is truly fantastic. Even it's low points are really good.
