Keep in mind Dershowitz was describing his impression of Cruz at the time he had him as a student. Cruz might well have been an excellent student; that's not mutually exclusive with being a horrific leader.

But I agree wholeheartedly with the conclusion that he'd be no better for us than those folks at Enron.
