You don't seem to realize that in the absence of the government having *some sort* of regulatory power, your life would be controlled by monopolistic corporations. Corporations that cannot be voted out of office.

Govt isn't perfect--nothing is perfect
Question is: w/o Govt involvement what happens? If the answer is "really bad shit" maybe the govt should get involved.
