Clearly a moral authority with a religiously enhanced insight into the Lord's will.

The law wont fault a man for having a bad memory.

Where does doing the right thing or at least admitting the truth come into play for these people? I guess once the statute of limitations expires.

This sort of thing has always been evidence of a sort to my mind that church officials certainly don't believe in God.
