point taken, but there is a thought that I often need to remind myself. I wish I could remember the author, and exact quote for that matter, but the jist is that human sadness is like gas, in that no matter how much of it there is, it fills the space completely. So even if a tragedy is small or large, that sadness fills the entire space of the heart.

and there are 700 people who are wounded, many lost limbs and arms...one of the blasts occurred in front of the British Medical Association, which blood and other human remains were spattered up to five stories up.

the thing is, human suffering does not have a nationality. in what language does anyone cry. it's fucked up horrible people on both sides, and lots of innocent people on either side.

and it would have been a lot more deaths, but they diffused the many other explosive devices found all over the underground. sorry more people didn't die, so that it would matter for you.

maybe i'm just sensitive since the blasts were so close to my house. the fact remains you are an idiot. your cartoons are stupid. why not spend a bit more time reading and a little less time drawing, so that next time you put you're little scribblings up, they do more justice to complex multifaced issues.

Jesus Christ people here are off their rockers. What the cartoon is saying is basically right. We generally ignore what's going on in the middle east, be it Palestinian deaths, Jewish deaths, Albanians, Sudanese, whatever they are. This didn't have to turn into some pro-Palestine or pro-Israel debate.

Both sides are total shitheads who think they're right. I'm a total shithead because I think I'm right about both sides being total shitheads.

Overall, I think it's a wonder that Britain didn't annihilate Ireland for their people's terrorist activities. Will Britain wield this like we did 9/11? No, I hope not. We barely even have the Madrid bombings in our consciousness.
What about Japan? Weren't there more deaths there in a subway bombing just a few years ago?

Terrific! I'm glad you posted that, tempted to nick it for my own journal. I sometimes feel like I've spent my whole life harping on about being a Londoner and I don't think that's in any way a slight to the recent bombing victims; it simply points out an obscene double standard.
