The caricature of Hitler is interesting in context. Grosz had his caricature phase prior to 1933 so this was quite before the rest of the world viewed Hitler as such a monster. It was when people were wary of him, but he wasn't The Enemy. When public figures like Henry Ford were quite in support of the ideas Hitler supported, his caricature would be quite controversial. Especially since he was living in Germany at the time.
