Gonna reroute the refineries, too? You know- the 20% of all U.S. refineries located in Louisiana and Texas that process about 40% of the country's product?
I don't think I want to share a country with anyone willing to give up barbecue. What are you, a vegetarian?
Hey with fracking, we won't need your stinkin' refineries. So what if we have ground water contamination, a couple of earthquakes and more sinkholes. That's the price of Freedom.
"What are you, a vegetarian?" Nope, but I don't eat pork.
That brings up the question, "What kind of weirdo barbecues pork?" (That is, by the way, hyperbole. I have no objection to most regional barbecue styles so long as they don't involve coleslaw. That's just wrong)
Fracking still needs refineries, though. It is just a way to get at product that is distributed in tiny pockets in porous stone, which was previously not economically viable to mess with. You still need refineries to turn the raw crude oil into fuels, plastics, etc.

So enjoy your $6 a gallon gas and what passes for barbecue north of the Red River.

As for BBQ - I'll give that up along with anything made by Paula Dean if I don't have to hear Southerners defend 'their way of life' ever again.
