I'm not arguing whether or not there is variation in ethnicity and gun violence. Obviously there will be. There's plenty of variation between countries, let alone within them.

I'm arguing that if you get shot it hardly matters to the victim what the ethnicity of the trigger-puller is.

I'd agree that it most likely doesn't matter to the victim, although it still may be of sociological interest.
