If you're not familiar with local law, how can you say if something is outside what a state is allowed to do or not do?

I'm just wondering what you're basing "a state shouldn't do that" on. My understanding based on your past conversations that state rights are state rights.

A state shouldn't intervene where unnecessary, regardless of their right to do so.

See, I would agree in this case that the soda law was a flawed means to an end. And I say the exact same thing about North Dakota's new 'fetal heartbeat' law, yet another attempt to circumvent federal protections of the right to abortion.
