Hmm.
I know we've all thought it before now (Faux's agenda being what it is) but this is the first time that I've seen it as a cartoon. If anyone digs up a previous instance it would be interesting to compare.

If he failed to convince rational people that his plan was the best option, then yes he would fail. But when a strong number of the voices against his plan rely on racism, jingoism, xenophobia, and other assorted fear tactics/othering, the failure of progressing as a country rests on their shoulders instead.
