yeah but al franken doesn't suffer from shaky hand squiggly line syndrome.

Minnesota is so totally unfair. You've got Al Franken AND Garrison Keillor.

Though he muddled Ohio and West Virginia a bit, that is an AMAZING Illinois.

[identity profile] thebigbadbutch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
If they had Dennis Kucinich and hot horny lesbians I would move to MN right now.

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
We've got both of those things in the OH, baby. ;)

[identity profile] thebigbadbutch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah but you don't have Al Franken and I'd never be able to laugh at residents every time they reminded me of Drop Dead Gorgeous with their silly accents :(

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
it's true. Ohio's accents are a horrible range from almost-southern to almost-Canadian. Bad times.

[identity profile] xforge.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Can't figure out if that's a frown or a 1970s porn mustache.

[identity profile] new-wave-witch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
it's a out.

This is a 1970s porn moustache pout. :{C

"Minnesota is so totally unfair. You've got Al Franken AND Garrison Keillor..."

Bachmann and Pawlenty more than offset it. :)

P.S. You're right about Illinois. Color me impressed!

[identity profile] overstim.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Well, in MA we have John Kerry and... um... oops.

[identity profile] tori-dobbs.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
I love Garrison Keillor.

[identity profile] pacotelic.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
I can hear the air rushing through his nose even now.

[identity profile] pacotelic.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
COMMUNISM!

[identity profile] squidb0i.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
In before.. Dang.

[identity profile] thebigbadbutch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
1) I had no idea Al Franken was an artist. He did that very well. I wonder what commentary he was making while drawing that.

2) If he isn't already AL Franken totally belongs on Men Who Look LIke Old Lesbians (http://menwholooklikeoldlesbians.blogspot.com/)

ETA: LOL He's totally on the front page.

He's like second to the top under Bruce Jenner isn't he?

[identity profile] thebigbadbutch.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no idea who Bruce Jenner is. Franken is the second guy at the bottom row of the header.

[identity profile] xforge.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 03:31 pm (UTC)(link)
The original article that started this all was on Cracked.com and the queen bee, the pinnacle of all Men Who Look Like Old Lesbians, was the stepdad of the Kardashian girls and former decathlon Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner.

Franken is total class. Did you see him fce down an "angry mob" of Minnesotans? My God, for a minute I thought someone would actually raise his voice!

[identity profile] jblaque.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
I caught that clip the other day. Not bad (http://minnesotaindependent.com/43634/franken-faces-down-an-angry-mob-and-lives) for an "unqualified, pinko comedian," eh?

[identity profile] merig00.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
well if you treat people with respect you get the same

[identity profile] jblaque.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
"well if you treat people with respect you get the same"

Ideally, yes - but certainly not judging by some of the abhorrent behavior (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GnqJLARUrE) taking place at recent town hall meetings. Even Senator McCain had to kick a few of the screamers out (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BIlVGzziQk&feature=channel) of his most recent event... and he's fundamentally on their side.

[identity profile] yes-justice.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Wow. They make code pink look civil.

[identity profile] tori-dobbs.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
no code pink are still a bunch of crazy.

[identity profile] telemann.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Boy you aren't kidding :/

[identity profile] telemann.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Oh dear, one of those is from back home in Virginia.

[identity profile] telemann.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
That's a great clip!

[identity profile] jamie-miller.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder if any other senator could do that. Hell, I wonder if any elected official at all could do it.

Oh I rememeber that. Ah it was wonderful to beat someone like that at their own game. I think I got like.. 6-7.

[identity profile] red-pill.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
i can get nine of the top of my head.

hmm...

[identity profile] pacotelic.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 09:57 am (UTC)(link)
Kill
Steal
Covet
False witness
Gods before me
False idols

That's all I got. I guess every other vice is A-OK for me to commit, since its not in the bible I carry in my head, right?

Re: hmm...

[identity profile] cursethedark.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Honor your parents
Honor the Sabbath
No adultery
And I think coveting is split into two. One for your neighbor's stuff, and one for his wife.

Re: hmm...

[identity profile] hazardous-filth.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends, coveting can be split or false idols/other gods can be, based on which branch of Judeo-christianity one is affliated with.

Re: hmm...

[identity profile] red-pill.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
i think you both forgot name in vain

Re: hmm...

[identity profile] xforge.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on whether you're Catholic or Protestant I think.

[identity profile] xforge.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I saw one where the guy didn't even get one fricking whole commandment right. I thought it was Lindsey Graham but I can't remember. I mean crap, claim to be a Christian and can't even remember "I am the Lord thy God and thou shalt have no gods before Me?" WTF???

[identity profile] telemann.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
What was that Milton Bradley game about the naming the states? Game of the States? Do they even make that anymore? Anyway, that game essentially let me do that pretty early on. Our school had us draw all the states and we had to remember all the counties in our state (Virginia).

[identity profile] cursethedark.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Remember all the counties? Jeebus. What the hell for?

[identity profile] tori-dobbs.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Al Franken has 10x the class of any career politician.

[identity profile] ygrii-blop.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 08:19 am (UTC)(link)
...which is to say, none!

[identity profile] blueduck37.livejournal.com 2009-09-09 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, he certainly does.

Which is ironic given that the argument against his candidacy was that he'd turn the Senate into a joke.

I'd argue that most of the other 99 already took care of that.
