Modern provocational method or a real act of propaganda?

Just shocked. This conflict seems too complex and unobvious to solve it out.. And such cartoons are increasing the mess.. Weird and grotesque, but it forces to think of it seriously. Who's the real aggressor here?

Yes, Georgia was the original aggressor against South Ossetia.
That being said, Russia reaction was over the top. They didn't just stop at attacking and pushing back the Georgian military. They attacked and occupied Georgian civilian centers. Civilians who has nothing to do with what their government was doing in South Ossetia (I know I sure as hell wouldn't want to be held accountable and punished for what Bush is doing in Iraq; although I guess all Americans are, just in a different way).
Our reaction was to Russia's over-reaction.

Totally true. It's terrible to see, how civilians are paying for their leaders stupidity. No matter, where and when..

"Russia voted to make South Ossetia as part of Russia" - I am sorry, but this is bullshit. That is simply not true, there was never held any kind of referendum to make South Ossetia a part of Russia.
Concerning the issue of the "over-reaction" of Russia or, so to say, "disproportionate use of force". Let me ask you - what is a "proportionate use of force" then?
Killing 90 civilians in the village of Azi-Zabad in the province of Gerad (Afghanistan), 60 children amongst them - is that "proportionate use of force"? Just imagine the situation, if Russians killed 90 civilian Georgians, 60 children amongst them. I can only imagine what reaction that would provoke.
Let's take the NATO operation against the former Yugoslavia in 1999, when over a period of 2,5 months not only the military but also the socio-economic infrastructure of a sovereign country located hundreds of kilometers from Kosovo was destroyed by missiles and bombs. Is that a "proportionate use of force"?
