I didn't say that you can't be a bigot for protesting bigotry.
I said that protesting bigotry - even violently - is not evidence of bigotry.

See, here's the thing. Everyone knows what Milo stands for. He's been traveling around the country doing a one-man show for quite a while now, and his shit's freely available online. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know exactly what he's going to say when he shows up in a new town, especially given the group that invited him there. The Berkeley protest was against what Milo has already said, and against him saying that crap in their home town. Do you think that protesting itself is an attempt to "silence opposition"?

No, I'm pretty sure you're singling out the violence and condemning that. Well, you and I agree there. The people who hijacked the protest and turned it violent are misguided assholes.

But do you think those people are worthy of the label "tolerant left", and do you think they were the ones carrying "hate free zone" signs?
